Zlatan Ibrahimovic eyeing homes in Los Angeles amid Galaxy link - sources

MANCHESTER -- Zlatan Ibrahimovic is preparing for life after Manchester United by house hunting in Los Angeles, sources have told ESPN FC.

The striker has been heavily linked with a move to Major League Soccer to join the LA Galaxy when his contract expires at the end of the season.

Sources have told ESPN FC that Ibrahimovic is yet to make a decision about his future and has not ruled out staying in Europe -- or even at United.

But with a move to the United States one of the proposals on the table, sources said the 36-year-old, along with longtime partner Helena Seger, have started looking at homes around Bel Air and Beverly Hills.

After arriving from Paris Saint-Germain in 2016, Ibrahimovic signed a new one-year deal at United in August.

He returned from a serious knee injury in November and has made seven appearances so far this season, scoring once, but has not featured since the 2-2 draw with Burnley on Boxing Day after suffering another knee problem.

He returned to training with the rest of the squad last week and is nearing a first-team comeback.

The MLS primary transfer window opened on Feb. 7 and will end on May 1. The secondary window is set to run from July 10 to Aug. 8. The regular season will begin on March 3.

Sources have told ESPN FC that while Ibrahimovic has not made a firm decision about his future, United have also not ruled out offering the Swede another contract.

He is unlikely to leave Old Trafford while there is still a chance to add the FA Cup and the Champions League to his already impressive list of honours.

If he was to stay fit and play a key role for Jose Mourinho between now and May, the club could look to explore the possibility of keeping the former Juventus and Barcelona forward for another year.

However, it remains likely that he will be allowed to leave in the summer with L.A. looking like his most realistic destination.
