Monaco must 'prepare' for Thomas Lemar interest - Leonardo Jardim

Monaco coach Leonardo Jardim has said they do not want to make winter sales, but admitted he has to be ready "for anything and everything" with Liverpool and Arsenal still reported to be interested in Thomas Lemar.

Arsenal attempted to sign Lemar last summer, failing with a bid late in the transfer window, and remain keen on the France international, while Liverpool have been linked following the sale of Philippe Coutinho.

Speaking ahead of Tuesday's Coupe de la Ligue quarterfinal with Nice -- a game in which Lemar is expected to feature -- Jardim again told media Monaco are aiming to keep their current squad intact for the remainder of the season.

However, after losing Bernardo Silva, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Benjamin Mendy and Kylian Mbappe, among others, last summer, he is aware that his plans may count for little if the price is right.

"We don't usually sell in winter, but the transfer window is open until the end of the month, and you have to prepare yourself for anything and everything," Jardim said.

"With the exception of two or three youngsters who could leave to get some playing time, we are counting on all the rest."
