Nice midfielder Jean Seri has vowed to remain at the Allianz Riviera until at least the end of the season, despite being heavily linked with a move to Barcelona throughout the summer.

Ivory Coast international Seri made no secret of his disappointment after a proposed move to the Camp Nou broke down at the death, but despite his public criticism of the Aiglons' hierarchy, he's confirmed that he will not seek a move away from the club in January.

"I won't move from Nice until June," Seri told journalists, as per Le Figaro, "regardless of whichever club come for me this winter."

The 26-year-old also insisted that there were no lingering unhappiness following his aborted move to Barcelona, even though he previously accused Nice's chiefs of breaking their promise of allowing him to leave for La Liga.

"It takes a lot more than that to bring me down," he continued. "An elite-level player doesn't have a minute to lose on this kind of thing.

"It's in the past, you need to turn the page and face the important landmarks that are coming for my club."

Seri was speaking ahead of Nice's trip to Stade Rennais on Sunday, with Lucien Favre's side currently sitting eleventh in the league ahead of Saturday's fixtures.

Last season's third-placed team have endured a troubled start to the season, losing three of their first four matches domestically and missing out on the Champions League group stage after playoff defeat by Napoli.
