Papy Djilobodji joins Dijon on season-long loan from Sunderland

Sunderland have announced that defender Papy Djilobodji has joined Dijon on a season-long loan.

The 28-year-old Senegal international, who joined Sunderland from Chelsea in 2016, will make the switch to the Ligue 1 club for the rest of the campaign.

"Sunderland AFC have confirmed that Papy Djilobodji has joined Dijon FCO on a season-long loan,'' the Championship club said in a statement on their official website.

Midfielder Wahbi Khazri followed Djilobodji out of the door at the Stadium of Light.

The 26-year-old, a former Bordeaux player, joined Ligue 1 side Rennes on a season-long loan.

Earlier, Sunderland goalkeeper Max Stryjek joined League Two's Accrington on a season-long loan.
