Crystal Palace bid for West Ham goalkeeper Adrian - sources

Crystal Palace have made a bid for West Ham United goalkeeper Adrian, sources close to the Hammers have told ESPN FC.

Adrian's future at West Ham has been the subject of conjecture following the arrival of England international Joe Hart on a season-long loan from Manchester City.

The 30-year-old was in and out of the West Ham side last season, but he finished the campaign as Slaven Bilic's first-choice keeper and the club activated a clause to extend his contract by two years.

Despite selling West Ham selling Darren Randolph to Middlesbrough earlier this month they are open to the idea of offloading Adrian if he is not happy to be back-up to Hart.

Crystal Palace are in the market for a new goalkeeper after selling Steve Mandanda back to Marseille this summer and Eagles boss Frank de Boer is keen to bring in someone with Premier League experience.

Newcastle are also monitoring Adrian's situation at West Ham with Rafa Benitez looking to bring in a No. 1 goalkeeper before the close of the transfer window.
