Chelsea loan Izzy Brown to Premier League newcomers Brighton

Brighton and Hove Albion signed attacker Izzy Brown from Chelsea on a season-long loan on Monday.

Brown, 20, had been wanted by Huddersfield -- who he helped to promotion during a loan spell last season -- but has instead opted to make the switch to the south coast.

Brighton boss Chris Hughton told the club's official website: "The natural progression for Izzy, having enjoyed such a successful season in the Championship last season, was to step up to the Premier League. We are delighted he will be doing that with us here at Brighton.

"He is a player with great potential and will bring a different dimension to our attacking options for the season ahead, alongside our existing strikers."

Former West Bromwich Albion player Brown joined Chelsea in 2013 and has also played on loan for both Rotherham United and Vitesse Arnhem.

Prior to making the move to the south coast, Brown signed a new contract at Stamford Bridge until 2021.

Brown has made one senior appearance for the Blues, as a substitute at West Brom in May 2015.
