Inter Milan willing to sell Ivan Perisic to Man United for right price - Spalletti

Inter Milan coach Luciano Spalletti says the club will sell Ivan Perisic to Manchester United if they meet their asking price.

United have been linked with a move for Perisic, 28, with sources telling ESPN FC earlier this month that the Premier League club are confident of landing the Croatia international.

Spalletti says he would like to keep hold of Perisic, but accepts Inter will have to let him go if a suitable offer comes in. Sky Sports reported earlier this week that Inter are holding out for £48 million for Perisic.

"He is a fantastic player and if his future is totally up to me, I will definitely keep him," Spalletti told a news conference. "Perisic is an important player for this team and Inter have ambitious objectives.

"However, if an offer comes and the club are satisfied with the money, which will be used to invest in and strengthen the team, he could leave."

Spalletti added: "From my point of view, it's very simple: Ivan's an important player for me, after that you have to ask him how he's dealing with the interest from Manchester United.

"I'd say it's positive, meaning the player is strong, but at the same time, there are directors with whom he signed a contract that he must respect. After that, if Inter were to accept a certain kind of offer, we'd get an equally important player to replace him."

Perisic is currently with Inter on their preseason tour of China and played 45 minutes of the 1-1 draw against Schalke on Friday.
