Huddersfield close in on signings of Tom Ince and Danny Williams - sources

Huddersfield Town have agreed to sign Tom Ince from Derby and are closing in on a move for U.S. international Danny Williams, sources close to the newly promoted club have told ESPN FC.

The Terriers had an initial bid for winger Ince rejected last month but have now struck a deal in the region of £10 million for the former Liverpool youngster, who has scored 38 goals in 115 appearances for Derby.

Williams, meanwhile, is a free agent after running down his contract at Reading, with a number of clubs having expressed an interest in the midfielder.

Reading offered him a new deal, but he is set to take the opportunity to move to the Premier League. A source told ESPN FC that he is having a medical with Huddersfield and could sign as early as Monday night.

The 28-year-old was in the Reading side beaten by Huddersfield in the Championship playoff final, with Terriers boss David Wagner -- also a German-born U.S. international in his playing days -- an admirer of the former Freiburg and Hoffenheim player.

Huddersfield have already signed midfielder Aaron Mooy, goalkeeper Jonas Lossl and striker Laurent Depoitre this summer.
