Robert Pires says his former club Arsenal can win the Premier League title next season -- if they keep Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil and sign Kylian Mbappe and Alexandre Lacazette.
Sanchez and Ozil have both been linked with exits from Arsenal this summer with their contracts due to expire next year.
Arsenal are reportedly interested in Monaco's Mbappe and Lyon's Lacazette, though supporters have viewed the duo as potential replacements for Sanchez or Ozil should they depart the Emirates Stadium.
Pires, however, feels Arsene Wenger could have all four players at the club next season and then go on to win a first league title since 2004.
"The most important thing is to keep Sanchez and Ozil and if they buy Lacazette and Mbappe," Pires told reporters.
"Arsenal can do both -- they can extend the contracts of Sanchez and Ozil and why not buy two or three players?
"If Arsene buys some players they can lift the Premier League trophy."
Pires says Mbappe and Lacazette are the players Arsenal should be targeting this summer, as well as Borussia Dortmund's Ousmane Dembele.
"Mbappe is a great player who has good potential," he said. "Of course he is very expensive but now in the UK anything is possible.
"Lacazette is a great player. And I love Ousmane Dembele at Dortmund, too."
