Jose Mourinho leaving Antoine Griezmann deal to Ed Woodward

Jose Mourinho has told Sky Sports News he has "no idea" how likely Manchester United are to sign Antoine Griezmann and that he is leaving all transfer business to executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward.

United have been keen on a move for Griezmann for some time and the France international said prior to the Europa League final that he rated his chances of a move to Old Trafford at "six" out of 10.

It had been reported that the deal was effectively done after United's Europa League success secured Champions League qualification, but Griezmann used his Twitter account to call those rumours "unfounded," adding that he would only make a decision after holding talks with his sporting advisor.

Mourinho, asked whether he thought a deal for Griezmann was likely, told Sky: "I have no idea. You have to ask Ed Woodward. He knows since March who I want, what I want, how much I want.

"He knows everything since March and now it's for him to work because he will have holidays in August and I will be working."

He added: "I'm really happy with our season, I'm really happy with the trophies, I'm really happy to be back in the Champions League but now it's the time for me to have a rest, to disconnect completely, to do other things."

Sources told ESPN FC during the week that Atletico will demand that United pay more than half of Griezmann's €100 million buyout clause in a lump sum this summer if the club make a formal bid for the player.

Atletico president Enrique Cerezo subsequently told RMC: "There has been no approach from Manchester United and no one has offered to pay the clause nor do I think that anyone will."
