Pachuca winger Hirving Lozano set to join Celta Vigo - reports

Pachuca are resigned to letting Mexico international winger Hirving "Chucky" Lozano leave the club this summer, with reports from Spain suggesting a deal with Celta Vigo is already done.

Spanish outlet AS reported that Lozano will join Celta after June's Confederations Cup and will pay $14 million for 80 percent of the 21-year-old's rights, with Pachuca retaining the other 20 percent.

"It's very difficult to keep him," Pachuca sporting director Marco Garces told ESPN Mexico on Thursday. "The club had promised that it would negotiate him in this transfer window and offers have arrived for him."

Pachuca originally wanted to retain Lozano, who has been capped 13 times by Mexico, until December's Club World Cup, but Garces said that it is complicated now that concrete offers from the Netherlands and Spain have come in.

Lozano has declared himself ready for the challenge of playing in Europe and Celta Vigo's president Carlos Mourino said in April that the Galician club would love to sign Lozano.

The player came out of Pachuca's youth system, has scored 31 goals in 120 Liga MX appearances and has previously been linked with Manchester and PSV.
