Yaya Toure will stay in Europe if he leaves Manchester City - agent

Yaya Toure would be open to a move to Italy if he doesn't agree a new Manchester City deal, his agent Dimitri Seluk has told TMW.

Toure, 34, is out of contract at the end of the season although sources have told ESPN FC that he is expected to be offered a new deal.

The midfielder wants a quick resolution to his City future but the club will not decide on new deals until after Sunday's game at Watford with Champions League football still not guaranteed.

Seluk hasn't ruled out Toure agreeing a new deal at City but says a move to Serie A would be a possibility if he leaves the Etihad in the summer.

"Italy is a beautiful country which he likes a lot. The standard of life is very good and Serie A is very competitive," he said.

"At the moment, there is nothing definite or anything already underway with any club in particular, but we are open to everything. We are ready to listen to any kind of offer, then obviously we will evaluate things.

"Yaya is an expensive player and not every club can afford him. Only the biggest clubs would have sufficient arguments to have him, both from a technical and financial point of view."

Asked about a new deal at City, Seluk added: "Nothing is impossible in football, but all I can say is that he will be out of contract soon. We're considering everything and we will make a decision in the near future."

The agent did, however, insist that Toure will remain in Europe and says he is only interested in moving to a top club.

"There are a lot of offers on the table for us to evaluate. We are considering everything and we will make a decision soon," he added.

"All of Europe's leagues are important, but we have no preferences and there are no clubs in pole position, at least not at the moment. Furthermore, as I have just said, not every club can afford Yaya. In the Bundesliga, for example, only Bayern Munich would be suitable for his level.

"We're not taking these offers [from China or the United States] into consideration. Yaya is going to carry on playing in Europe, at the very highest level. He still wants to win a lot, both in the league and in the Champions League."
