Lucas Alario agent has talked to Paris Saint-Germain's Patrick Kluivert

The agent of River Plate striker Lucas Alario has said he has had conversations with Paris Saint-Germain director of football Patrick Kluivert about the French champions' interest in the player.

PSG are in the market for a new attacker to provide backup for in-form Edinson Cavani and have been strongly linked with Alario.

The player's representative, Pedro Aldave, told Radio Continental in Argentina that the 24-year-old wants to move to Europe and has turned down offers from China and the MLS.

"I have spoken with Patrick Kluivert several times, and he appreciates Lucas," he said.

"Our desire is to continue Lucas' career in Europe. That is our wish. He wants to go somewhere he can develop.

"We are in no hurry and Lucas will not be sold at any old price -- we expect an adequate offer.

"We received an incredible offer from a Chinese club, but Lucas does not want to go there right now. There was also an offer to go to MLS, but that is not what he wants for his career."

River sporting director Enzo Francescoli has said the South American giants are waiting for an offer for Alario that meets his reported €18 million price tag.
