FC Copenhagen's Ludwig Augustinsson tracked by West Ham - sources

West Ham are planning a move for Sweden international Ludwig Augustinsson, sources close to the club have told ESPN FC.

The Hammers have been tracking the FC Copenhagen left-back for some time, but are set to step up their efforts to land him after losing Aaron Cresswell to injury.

Cresswell is facing up to four months out with a knee ligament injury, leaving West Ham boss Slaven Bilic short of options at full-back.

The Hammers are desperate to bolster their ranks before the transfer window closes at the end of the month, and reportedly had a £7 million offer for Hull City's Andrew Robertson rejected over the weekend.

On Monday, it was reported that Norwich City had turned down a bid of £3m for Martin Olsson.

West Ham are ready to pursue a deal for Augustinsson after being rebuffed for Robertson and Olsson.

Augustinsson, 22, was a member of Sweden's squad at Euro 2016 but did not figure for his country in France as they failed to make it out of the group stage.

FC Copenhagen are reluctant to lose Augustinsson as they are trying to qualify for the Champions League, but West Ham are ready to test their resolve.
