Jonathan Osorio helps Toronto FC into CONCACAF Champions League final

Toronto FC will face Chivas Guadalajara in the final of the CONCACAF Champions League after drawing 1-1 with Club America in Tuesday's semifinal second leg at Estadio Azteca.

The visitors, who had a 3-1 advantage from the first leg at BMO Field, were dealt an early blow when Jozy Altidore picked up a knock and hobbled off less than five minutes into the match and was replaced by Tosaint Ricketts.

Ricketts made an immediate impact after picking up a through ball he forced his defender to inadvertently poke a cross to Jonathan Osorio, who tapped home for a crucial away goal and an early 1-0 lead.

America now needed three goals to force extra-time and the Liga MX side went close twice before the half-hour, with Alex Bono coming up with fine save from point-blank range and Oribe Peralta's redirected shot just missing at the far post.

After the break, Miguel Herrera's side looked for a way back into the tie but couldn't break down a resolute Toronto defense until injury-time -- with Mateus Uribe's penalty goal only a consolation for the now-eliminated Mexico giants.
