Columbus 1-2 Vancouver: Kamara propels Whitecaps - Via MLS

Kei Kamara's second half winner completed the comeback for the Vancouver Whitecaps against his former club Columbus Crew SC.


Kei Kamara scored the go-ahead goal on a diving header in the 78th minute and the Vancouver Whitecaps beat Columbus Crew SC 2-1 on Saturday.

Gyasi Zardes pounced on a rebound in the 29th minute to open the scoring for Columbus, who had their four-game unbeaten streak to open the season snapped.

Brek Shea smashed home a deflection off of Crew goalkeeper Zack Steffen in the 51st minute to tie it for Vancouver, before Kamara's winner.

Artur had a header hit the crossbar in the 86th minute that would have equalized for Columbus.

The Whitecaps moved to the top of the Western Conference on 10 points with three wins in their first five games.
