Patrick Cutrone leads AC Milan to convincing win against SPAL

Patrick Cutrone scored twice as AC Milan won 4-0 at SPAL to keep up their recent good form.

The 20-year-old took his season's tally to 12 before Lucas Biglia and Fabio Borini each scored their first goal for the club.

It took less than two minutes for Milan to open the scoring when Suso crossed from the right and after Giacomo Bonaventura's header was saved by Alex Meret, Cutrone followed up to score.

Hakan Calhanoglu went close to a second from distance but SPAL could also have struck before half-time, with Federico Viviani's free-kick clattering back off the woodwork.

Cutrone's second came in the 64th minute, with Suso again the architect.

The winger cut in from the right and his inswinging effort was parried, with Cutrone again in the right place at the right time. He sidefooted his first effort against the post but reacted quickly to bundle in the rebound.

And it was soon 3-0 when Meret ill-advisedly rolled the ball out to Viviani in a dangerous position. The midfielder was dispossessed by Biglia, who looked up and delicately curled home from 20 yards.

Both goalscorers were then withdrawn before Borini replaced Franck Kessie and netted Milan's fourth, running onto fellow replacement Riccardo Montolivo's perfect through-ball and firing left-footed across Meret.
