Paulo Dybala nets last-gasp winner as Juventus down Lazio

Paulo Dybala's last-gasp goal avenged Juventus' October defeat to Lazio as the reigning Serie A champions won 1-0 at the Stadio Olimpico.

Juve's bid to claim an historic seventh straight Scudetto was destabilised in the autumn when Lazio won 2-1 in Turin, allowing rivals Napoli to take and retain control of the title race.

But a stoppage-time strike from Dybala put the Bianconeri right back on the heels of the Azzurri, who play Roma later on Saturday evening.

With that shock home loss in mind Juve's hackles were up in Rome and they went close in the 10th minute as Miralem Pjanic picked out Mario Mandzukic for a header that just skimmed the crossbar.

Veteran goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon channelled his own anger about being on the losing side last time these giants met when he stood tall to deny Sergej Milinkovic-Savic's firm header.

Sami Khedira saw Juve's best chance of the half deflected wide after connecting with a Pjanic corner shortly before the break.

Lazio seemed content to close ranks and frustrate Juve when play resumed and despite forging a strong run through the middle, Dybala could not get close enough to shoot after the hour mark.

However, with seconds remaining in the capital, Dybala -- left off the Argentina squad earlier this week -- battled into the box and, despite going to ground, he managed to hook the ball beyond a flummoxed Thomas Strakosha.
