Eintracht Frankfurt extended their unbeaten run to four Bundesliga matches as they were pegged back in a 1-1 draw against Mainz at Opel Arena on Friday night.

The visitors had the first chance of note in the early exchanges but Marc Stendera fired wide after a quick break, while Pablo de Blasis had his effort saved by Frankfurt goalkeeper Lukas Hradecky at the other end.

Ante Rebic was denied from the edge of the box as the away side continued to press for an opener with teammate David Abraham missing the target twice and Sebastien Haller heading wide before their pressure paid off as Stefan Bell put into his own net from Marius Wolf's cross eight minutes before the break.

The power struggle began to shift just before the hour mark as Mainz fought back with close efforts from Daniel Brosinski, De Blasis and Suat Serdar, while Yoshinori Muto set up substitute Serdar after 71 minutes for a close-range equaliser and they held on for a share of the spoils.
