Danny Rose scores late winner as Mansfield end winless run

Danny Rose scored a mate winner to snatch a 2-1 Sky Bet League Two home victory over Morecambe. The visitors looked to have done enough for a point until Rose jumped well to head home Paul Anderson's superb far post cross from the right in the 88th minute to secure the Stags' first win in four games.Home keeper Conrad Logan had two saves to make in the sixth minute, denying Luke Conlan and Sam Lavelle in succession. That sparked the Stags into life and on eight minutes they were ahead as Kane Hemmings raced down the middle onto Rose's flick-on to confidently slot past Barry Roche.Hamilton and Zander Diamond both wasted good chances to add to the tally.Instead Morecambe were level five minutes after the restart as Callum Lang was given room on the right of the box and beat Logan with a fierce low shot from a tight angle. They were almost ahead in the 66th minute, but Adam Campbell's 25-yard potshot clipped the post. But Rose clinched the win with his 12th goal of the season, despite two late chances for Sam Lavelle.
