Brett Pitman at the double for Portsmouth

Brett Pitman scored twice to help Portsmouth to a 3-2 win over Blackpool at Bloomfield Road in a game which produced four goals in the last 16 minutes.Pitman's second goal was the winner, coming after Ben Close he had won it for Pompey, only for Oliver Hawkins to put through his own net.Viv Solomon-Otabor came close for Blackpool, who were put up for sale by owners the Oyston family this week, after 50 minutes cutting in from the left and firing a low shot inches wide. Two minutes later, though, it was Portsmouth who took the lead. Lowe's deflected shot was well saved by Ryan Allsop, but the ball dropped to Pitman who slotted into the empty net.Blackpool equalised in the 74th minute when substitute Dolly Menga, making his debut, picked out an inch-perfect cross for Solomon-Otabor to draw them level from four yards. But their lead lasted just six minutes. Keeper Allsop was unlucky again, making a superb save to deny Pitman but the ball broke to Close who stroked in expertly from 12 yards. On 82 minutes the game twisted again as the Seasiders equalised for a second time when Hawkins headed into his own net.Remarkably Portsmouth grabbed their winner just four minutes later when Pitman was left unmarked at the far post and nodded into the bottom corner from six yards.
