Falcao strikes again but Montpellier level late vs. Monaco

Radamel Falcao continued his lethal run of form in front of goal but a stoppage-time equaliser kept Monaco to a 1-1 draw at home to Montpellier.

Falcao took his tally to 12 goals in eight league appearances this season, finishing from close range and seeing his effort upheld by goal-line technology.

That should have been enough to put the defending champions two clear of Paris St Germain heading into the weekend but Souleymane Camara netted to claim a point in the third minute of added time.

Leonardo Jardim's side controlled possession in the early exchanges, with Stevan Jovetic a busy presence in attack, but Montpellier were holding their own and might have snatched the lead had Stephane Sessegnon found a better finish.

Monaco broke the deadlock in the 38th minute, Rony Lopes countering down the right flank and racing into space behind the visiting defence.

As he approached the box he produced an impudent cross through the legs of Hilton and into the path of Falcao, who slid to steer the ball over the line -- a fact confirmed by the referee's wristwatch.

Thomas Lemar spurned the hosts' best chance of making the result safe late on and Camara made him pay, heading home against his former club after Kevin Berigaud's cushioned assist.
