Lyon 1-3 Bordeaux

Bordeaux hit back from a goal down to beat 10-man Lyon 3-1 as they continued their fine start to the Ligue 1 season at the Stade Lumieres.

Despite falling behind to Aldo Kalulu's early opener, goals from Malcom, Gregory Sertic and Jeremy Menez ensured back-to-back wins for Jocelyn Gourvennec's men.

Lyon had Maxime Gonalons dismissed midway through the second half as they fell back-to-back defeats, following a surprising 4-2 loss at Dijon last time out.

Les Gones made the ideal start when, with little over 60 seconds played, a poor Diego Contente challenge on Alexandre Lacazette inside the area teed up Kalulu to slot the ball home from a seemingly offside position.

And the hosts almost doubled their lead after 20 minutes when Rachid Ghezall's corner fell to debutant Mouctar Diakhaby, but the young defender's effort was brilliantly kept out Cedric Carrasso.

However, Les Girondins levelled with little more than half an hour played when Malcom's guided finish from the edge of the area beat Anthony Lopes to stun the hosts.

The visitors could easily have been in front at the break when a goalmouth scramble fell kindly for Adam Ounas but his first-time effort cannoned off Lopes to safety.

Midway through the second half Jordan Ferri had his head in his hands for the hosts when a corner fell to him just yards out but somehow Carrasso got a right foot to the ball to deny Lyon a second goal.

And soon after the game was turned on its head when Gonalons was given a deserved straight red for a horrendous challenge on Malcom.

Moments later, Lyon's man disadvantage proved their undoing when Sertic rose highest in the hosts' area to power a header beyond Lopes from Ounas' delivery.

And Menez struck late on with a deflected effort after cutting in to rub salt in Lyon's wounds on what proved to be a disappointing night for Bruno Genesio's team.
