Rennes climbed up to fourth place in the Ligue 1 table with a 2-0 victory over St Etienne at Roazhon Park.
The opening goal came in the 54th minute, Benjamin Andre feeding Paul-Georges Ntep, who found the bottom corner from the left side of the box.
It was a deserved victory for the home side, who bossed possession and had 14 shots to their opponents' four, none of which were on target.
But Rennes had to wait until injury time for their second goal, which was scored by substitute Kamil Grosicki with a left-footed shot into the top corner.
