Real Sociedad 2-1 Rayo Vallecano

Rayo Vallecano are in real danger of relegation from the Primera Division after losing 2-1 at Real Sociedad.Fellow strugglers Granada beat Sevilla and Getafe and Sporting drew to each move a point ahead of Paco Jemez's side.Mikel Oyarzabal gave the home side the lead in the 12th minute and fellow academy graduate Jon Bautista stretched their advantage early in the second half by scoring his debut goal for the first team.Javi Guerra gave Rayo hope of a comeback by netting after 69 minutes but they failed to find an equaliser, even though Esteban Granero was sent off for Real Sociedad with 15 minutes remaining.Rayo are 19th in the Primera Division and no longer have their destiny in their own hands if they want to avoid relegation, needing to beat Levante and for Getafe or Sporting to fail to win next week.Jemez's side dominated the early stages but fell behind from the hosts' first attempt on goal. Rayo failed to properly clear a high ball into the box and it dropped to Oyarzabal on the edge of the box, the teenager hooking into the near corner and beating goalkeeper Juan Carlos at the near post.Rayo midfielder Adri Embarba spurned three chances to level before the break and La Real punished Rayo's profligacy early in the second half. The home side raced forward on the counter-attack and Bautista drilled home from the edge of the box to grab his first professional goal, five minutes after coming on.Rayo finally scored thanks to Guerra's brilliant strike from outside the area, but La Real successfully closed out the game, needing Rayo to summon up the spirit that kept them up on the final day of the season in 2011-12.ends
