Lithuania 2-2 Slovenia

A late Slovenia fightback earned them a 2-2 draw away to Lithuania to begin their World Cup qualification campaign.

Bostjan Cesar headed the equaliser in the third minute of injury-time after Rene Krhin had started the comeback from 2-0 down with 77 minutes on the clock.

Lithuania's goals came in the space of three first-half minutes, the first a stunning Fedor Cernych effort as he ran into the space in front of him before arrowing a 30-yard strike into the top corner.

Moments later Vykintas Slivka added a second as he feigned to centre from the by-line only to then sweep a shot across goalkeeper Jan Oblak and into the far corner.
