Cumbrians' pain continues

Bury thrashed managerless Carlisle 3-0 to leave the Cumbrians still searching for their first league win of the season.
Bury's pacy attack posed lots of problems for the Carlisle defence with goals from Danny Rose, Craig Jones and Ryan Lowe earning them the three points.
The Shakers would have been ahead by half time but for some profligate finishing. Jones was the biggest culprit, missing two gilt-edged opportunities, the first of which fell to him inside the first five minutes when Nicky Adams picked him out in space in the area with a neat low cross from the left, only for Jones to scoop his shot high over the bar.
Jones wasted an even better chance in the 36th minute when Carlisle goalkeeper Mark Gillespie did well to reach an Adams effort at full stretch. However he could only palm the ball into the path of Jones who contrived to put his shot over the top from six yards when it looked easier to score.
Bury finally found the target in the 48th minute when Jones hoisted a cross into the box and Rose outjumped Gillespie to plant a header into the bottom right hand corner of the net for his fifth goal of the season.
Jones made up for his earlier misses in the 59th minute when Adams and Lowe combined in a slick move to send him racing through into the box. This time he made no mistake, firing past Gillespie from 10 yards.
Lowe made it 3-0 when he cut in from the left and smashed an unstoppable right foot shot past Gillespie to complete a miserable afternoon for Carlisle.
