Stade de Reims 2-0 Lille

Reims scored twice in the first half to claim a 2-0 win over 10 man Lille in Sunday's Ligue 1 match at Stade August Delane II.Benjamin Moukandjo opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 26th minute after Sebastien Corchia conceded the spot-kick and was sent off as a result, to leave Lille stretched for the rest of the match.Aissa Mandi then added the second for the home side in the 32nd minute which moved Reims up to 10th place in the overall standings.Reims made the brighter start and Nicolas de Preville did magnificently well to control Mickael Tacalfred's ball before shooting on the turn, but his effort was equalled in quality by the save of Vincent Enyeama.Former Montpellier striker Gaetan Charbonnier also went close for the hosts, all inside the opening 10 minutes, but again Enyeama was on hand to save down at his own post as Reims looked for a foothold in the game.Lille could easily have been one up, against the run of play, on 15 minutes but with only the keeper to beat Nolan Roux's effort was superbly turned away by Johnny Placide before the game swung the hosts' way.The lively Charbonnier burst into the area before being hauled down by Corchia and referee Alexandre Castro was left with no option but to point at the spot and give the Lille full-back his marching orders.Moukandjo took responsibility for the spot-kick and emphatically blasted beyond Enyeama from 12 yards to rub salt in the visitors' wounds.Lille could easily have been reduced to nine men but Divock Origi somehow managed not to receive any punishment for his poor foul on Moukandjo before Reims doubled their lead on 32 minutes.De Preville was the provider and his corner found Mandi who rose above Ryan Mendes to nod beyond Enyeama and give his side a seemingly unassailable advantage.Unsurprisingly, Reims seemed happy to conserve their two-goal lead with a one-man advantage as the visitors struggled at the other end with only David Rozenhal having any chance of note, firing over Placide's bar shortly before the hour mark.At the other end Enyeama was called upon yet again, this time superbly turning Diego's powerful effort away for a corner after the Brazilian forward had wriggled free of the Lille defence.Antoine Devaux and Prince Oniangue both missed late chances for the hosts but in the end it proved inconsequential as Reims extended their Ligue 1 unbeaten run to five games.ends
