Neymar: Paris Saint-Germain targeting Champions League glory this season

Neymar has said success for Paris Saint-Germain must always come before individual achievement.

The Brazil international, who joined from Barcelona this summer in a world-record €222 million move, said he was targeting the Champions League trophy.

He told PSG magazine Paris Saint-Germain, au coeur du club: "The Champions League is PSG's big objective, that is clear. The whole team wants to achieve this goal.

"Only after collective trophies have been won will it be time to think about individual awards. It is necessary to think of the team first.

"Thanks to God, I already won the Champions League once. I know what it feels like, and I want to experience that thrill again with PSG.

"The Champions League is the work of an entire season. It is essential to know what your objective is and to repeat that without stopping."

PSG are top of Group B with a maximum 12 points, having scored 17 times and conceded none in a group that also includes Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich.

Neymar, 25, has four goals and two assists in Europe this season, with seven more goals arriving in eight Ligue 1 outings.

He missed the 5-0 win at Angers with a slight knock but should return for the home game against Nantes after the international break.
