Paris Saint-Germain's Serge Aurier not offended by Didier Drogba comments

Paris Saint-Germain defender Serge Aurier insists he was not angered by the criticism of his behaviour by "big brother" Didier Drogba.

After a social media video showed Aurier, 23, insulting then-PSG coach Laurent Blanc last season -- an incident that earned him a ban from the first team -- the Ivory Coast international was then given a two-month prison sentence after assaulting a policeman during a drunken night out in May. Aurier has appealed against the sentence.

In an interview with RTL last weekend, Drogba, 38, told the PSG player he must use the controversial episodes "to really become aware and realise what he represents now."

But rather than take offence at the Montreal Impact man's words, Aurier told Canal+ Sport that he welcomed the input of his fellow Ivorian.

"Didier, he's like a big brother. I always speak to him on the phone," Aurier said after featuring in his country's goalless draw with France in Lens on Tuesday. "There's no problem between us. He's in the best position to judge me.

"He has given me a lot of advice. I often went on holiday with him. I took it as advice. It was a little barb, but I took it well. I know the fella, and I know he likes me a lot."
