Sunday Mba to play top-flight European football with Yeni Malatyaspor

Sunday Mba will enjoy top flight football in the Turkish Super Lig next season after helping Yeni Malatyaspor secure promotion with a late draw against Boluspor on Sunday.

Mba, Nigeria's star of the 2013 African Nations Cup is one of three Nigerians, the others being Azubike Okeychukwu and Amos Amutu, who play for the club from the eastern province of Malatya.

This will be the Mba's first stint at a top division in Europe. He joined CA Bastia in the French third division after his 2013 Nations Cup heroics, before moving to Malatyaspor last season.

The forward was understandably excited about the achievement, posting an emoji-dotted pic on his Instagram page where he was flanked by the other Nigerians dropped in the country's green white green flag.

"champiooooon. welkom to super lig."

Okechukwu was not left out of the celebrations

''It was a rough and tough journey, but here we're. Thanks to God almighty. And this is also to congratulate my teammates, officials and Fans,'' he posted on Twitter.

Malatya has been without a team in Turkey's top division since Malatyaspor were relegated in 2006 before dropping all the way to the regional leagues.
