Nigeria coach Sunday Oliseh resigns over claims of unpaid wages

Sunday Oliseh has resigned as coach of Nigeria citing "contract violations" as the reason for his departure.

Oliseh, who played for Nigeria from 1993-2002, was appointed the country's coach in July 2015, replacing Stephen Keshi.

The former Borussia Dortmund player had come under pressure after Nigeria failed to get past the group stage of the African Nations Championship.

On Friday, Oliseh used his official Twitter account to make a number of accusations regarding his and his squad's contract.

The Nigerian Football Federation has yet to comment on the tweets.

In March, Nigeria face Egypt twice in the space of five days in qualifiers for the 2017 African Nations Cup finals.
