Rashford, Herrera 'have a chance' to face Sevilla - Mourinho

MANCHESTER -- Marcus Rashford and Ander Herrera are in with a chance of being fit for Manchester United's Champions League clash with Sevilla next week, according to Jose Mourinho.

The pair will miss Saturday's FA Cup fifth-round tie with Huddersfield but could feature in the last-16 first-leg tie in Spain on Wednesday if they recover from their respective muscle injuries.

Rashford missed the defeat to Newcastle with a hip problem while Herrera has missed the past two games with a thigh injury.

Meanwhile, Mourinho indicated Eric Bailly could play against Huddersfield after three months out with an ankle injury. "Bailly is back," the United boss said at a news conference on Friday.

Asked whether Rashford and Herrera could play against Sevilla, the Mourinho replied: "They have a chance."

United face a crucial week with Huddersfield in the FA Cup followed by the trip to Sevilla and Chelsea's visit to Old Trafford on Sunday.

Mourinho said: "Let's go step by step. The next one is the one that, tomorrow 7.30 p.m., we are out of the FA Cup or we are in the quarterfinal.

"Tomorrow is black or white. It's not grey. Tomorrow is really important because it's a knockout match.

"We are going to face the game in the best possible way.

"Sevilla is half of a knock-out, so not so crucial as Huddersfield, but almost."

With the title likely to end up at Manchester City this season, the FA Cup and the Champions League are United's best hope of ending the campaign with a trophy.

Mourinho insists he will name a strong team against Huddersfield in a bid to make it into the hat for the quarterfinal draw.

But with Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester City are expected to be there, too, Mourinho has warned that the FA Cup will not be an easy trophy to get their hands on.

He said: "We are going to try, we are going to try. The Champions League is more difficult than the Europa League, we all know that.

"And the FA Cup in this moment, I believe all the top teams, I think only Liverpool and Arsenal are out. A nice draw for Chelsea, for Man City, for Tottenham, so top teams are going to be in the quarterfinal.

"Let's make sure we are there too, but even the FA Cup will be tough."
