Sergio Aguero scores 200th goal for Manchester City vs. Chelsea

Sergio Aguero became the first Manchester City player to score 200 goals after netting the opener in the Community Shield against Chelsea on Sunday.

Aguero, 30, joined City in 2011 from Atletico Madrid and has scored over 30 goals a season for the club in all competitions in all but three of his eight seasons.

After netting the first on Sunday he then scored again to hand City a 2-0 win over Chelsea to claim the Community Shield.

His 201 goals have come from 299 games and he broke a 79-year-old record in November 2017 to become Manchester City's all-time leading scorer with his 178th goal against Napoli.

Previously the record was held by Eric Brook, who scored 177 times in 494 appearances for City between 1928 and 1939, collecting an FA Cup winners' medal in 1934 and the league title three years later.

Aguero scored twice on his debut as a substitute against Swansea City in August 2011 following his £38 million move from Atletico.

He has also scored more Premier League goals than any other non-European and won three Premier League titles and three League Cups. But he will arguably never score a more important goal than his 94th minute winner against Queens Parks Rangers in May 2012 that secured City's first league title for 44 years.
