Lazio's former Manchester United forward Nani was involved in an altercation on board the plane bringing the Serie A club back from their trip to Cagliari at the weekend.
A video has emerged of the aftermath of an incident on the scheduled Cagliari to Rome flight which Lazio took to return home following their 2-2 draw in Sardinia on Sunday.
Nani is reported to have responded angrily to a fan who woke him while he was trying to sleep during the flight, with the incident flaring up and some of Nani's teammates, including Lucas Leiva, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Wallace, as well as sporting director Igli Tare intervening to restore calm.
In the video, which has been published by Sky Sport and various other news outlets, the captain of the flight can be heard making an announcement over the PA system, "reminding" the passengers to behave "in the interests of public safety."
Upon landing at Fiumicino airport, the Lazio players and staff were escorted onto a separate coach with regular passengers held back until they had left.
Nani was infuriated by the confrontation and told Cittaceleste that he had never experienced anything like it before.
"At Manchester and elsewhere, it never happened that we had to take a regular scheduled flight and be exposed to things like this," Nani said.
The Portuguese forward came on for just 14 minutes of Sunday's 2-2 draw -- his 12th substitute appearance of the season, having started just once in Serie A.
He is on loan at Lazio from Valencia, but appears unlikely to remain at the club beyond the end of the season.
