Kwadwo Asamoah has told KweséESPN that he is leaving Juventus at the end of the season, despite receiving a new offer from the club.

The Ghana international is set to leave the Serie A champions after six years at the club as he goes in search of a new challenge.

"It's been a tough decision to make, because for six years, Juventus has been my life, and everyone here has been my family," he began.

"Leaving Juventus is like leaving a family for good but I needed to do this for my family."

The 29-year old has been strongly linked with a move to Juve's rivals Inter Milan, but claims that there's been no definite decision made on his future just yet.

The midfielder joined Juventus in 2012 from Udinese and went on to win six Serie A titles and four Coppa Italias with the Old Lady during what he calls a 'golden Juventus generation'.

"I am leaving with a lot of great memories from the trophies I have won at the club, to some of the greatest players I have worked with on a daily basis," he added.

"Juventus just didn't change my career and make me a better player, it made me a better man too."

Asamoah, who hasn't featured for Ghana since 2014, also praised Juve for keeping faith with him during his chronic injury problems in recent seasons.

"The unflinching emotional support I received from the fans even in my worst injury times was so amazing that I feel deep love for this club," he added in a statement published on his official Twitter handle, "and will forever appreciate the kindness shown to me."
