Alberto Cerri scored a hat trick to lift Perugia to a 4-0 win at newly promoted Benevento, who played the second half with 10 men after Danilo Cataldi was sent off.
Cittadella scored all of their goals in the first half in a 3-0 romp to oust Bologna and advance to the fourth round.

Sampdoria eased past Foggia 3-0, while Sassuolo also kept a clean sheet in a 2-0 win over Spezia.

Torino won the first game of the third round on Friday night, cruising past Trapani 7-1 with a brace from Andrea Belotti.
