Liverpool to host Everton in derby after FA Cup third-round draw

Liverpool will host Everton in an FA Cup Merseyside derby after the draw for the third round was conducted on Monday, while Arsenal, Tottenham, Manchester United and Chelsea were all drawn to face sides from outside the Premier League.

It is the 18th time the local rivals have met in the FA Cup, but the earliest since 1932. They last squared off in the 2011-12 semifinals, won 2-1 by Liverpool, who have advanced in 10 of their previous meetings in the competition.

Meanwhile, Crystal Palace will travel to Brighton and Hove Albion for the second time this season in another edition of the M23 derby.

Premier League leaders Manchester City will host Burnley in the only other game between top-flight sides.

Holders Arsenal will enter the competition in January away to Championship side Nottingham Forest, while Manchester United will host Derby County.

Tottenham host League One's Wimbledon, but Chelsea will go on the road to face Norwich.

Leicester City could face a trip to seventh-tier Hereford if the minnows prevail in their replay against Fleetwood Town.
