PARIS -- Paris Saint-Germain are one of two French women's clubs in talks to sign Chelsea Ladies and England attacker Eniola Aluko, a source has told ESPN FC.
The 30-year-old, who was involved in a discrimination case against former England coach Mark Sampson last year, is one of a number of players being considered by the French capital outfit, and a club source confirmed that attacking options are being examined.
Aluko, who was born in Lagos, Nigeria, but relocated with her family to Birmingham in the West Midlands area of England at a young age, has been capped 102 times by her adopted country and scored 33 goal. But she has found playing time harder to come by at Kingsmeadow this season.
The Chelsea No. 9, who has also played for Birmingham City Ladies, Sky Blue FC, Atlanta Beat, Saint Louis Atheltics and Charlton Athletic Ladies, who also represented Great Britain at the 2012 London Olympics, has still managed to score four FA Women's Super League goals from the six matches Chelsea have played so far this campaign.
PSG currently have Marie-Laure Delie on their books but the 29-year-old France international will be out of contract at the end of this term.
Making Aluko more attractive to PSG is the fact that they currently have players filling all three of their non-European squad berths -- Canada's Ashley Lawrence and Brazil international pair Erika and Formiga.
PSG, who are second and trail domestic powerhouse Lyon by five points in France's Division 1 Feminine, have shaken things up recently.
Former Liverpool, Lille, Bordeaux and Marseille man Bruno Cheyrou has been appointed sporting director, while ex-PSG player and former France international Bernard Mendy has been added as Lair's assistant.
Transfer-wise, Laura Georges has joined Bayern Munich in a permanent deal and Perle Morroni has been loaned to Barcelona for the next six months.
Aluko's current side, Chelsea, are currently second in the FA WSL behind Manchester City and into the Champions League quarterfinals, where they will face Montpellier.
