Cristiano Ronaldo through the years

Cristiano Ronaldo's €100 million move to Juventus from Real Madrid at the age of 33 shows just what a special player he is. From the moment he broke onto the scene with Sporting Lisbon as a teenager to his five Ballon d'Or awards, he has achieved a lot. Here are some of his most memorable moments:

EARLY PROMISE - 2002: Ronaldo made his debut for Sporting Lisbon at age 17 and scored twice against Moreirense.

UNITED WE STAND - 2003: Cristiano Ronaldo signed for Manchester United and sits alongside Kleberson and Sir Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford.

TROPHY FEVER - 2004: His first major trophy wasn't long in coming. Here he celebrates with the FA Cup.

A WINK TOO FAR - 2006: The World Cup saw Portugal lose to France in the semifinals, but Ronaldo played his part in getting United teammate Wayne Rooney sent off in the quarterfinal against England.

TITLE ROLE - 2007: Ronaldo finished as the club's top scorer in the league (17) to lead United to his first Premier League title.

THE 30 CLUB - 2008: Ronaldo netted 31 goals in 34 games the following season for another title, with 42 in all competitions including a stunning free kick against Portsmouth.

MOSCOW MAN - 2008: Ronaldo celebrated his first Champions League trophy after a penalty win over Chelsea at Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow.

GOLDEN BOY - 2008: Ronaldo beat Barcelona's Lionel Messi and Liverpool striker Fernando Torres to the Ballon d'Or to become the first United player to win the award since the late George Best in 1968.

HALA MADRID - 2009: Ronaldo moved to Real Madrid for a then-world-record £80 million and was presented to a full house at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium.

BARCELONA BEATER - 2012: Ronaldo scored the winner as Real beat Barcelona 2-1 in April to put them on the brink of the title. It would be his first La Liga crown.

UCL DOMINATION BEGINS - 2014: Ronaldo picked up his second Champions League title after scoring a late penalty in a 4-1 win over Atletico Madrid at Estadio da Luz in Lisbon.

RECORD BREAKER - 2015: Despite only being at the club for six years, Ronaldo broke Raul's goa-scoring record for Real Madrid. He scored his 324th goal against Levante.

INTERNATIONAL HONOUR - 2016: Another Champions League title followed, but 2016 brought something Ronaldo had never achieved: an international trophy. Portugal won Euro 2016 after beating France 1-0 after extra time, but Ronaldo had to limp off injured after 25 minutes.

LEGACY SET IN STONE - 2016: Not many footballers can open museums, but Ronaldo did. He opened the CR7 Museum on July 21, 2016, in Funchal, Madeira.

100 CLUB - 2017: Ronaldo netted a hat trick in the Champions League quarterfinal second leg against Bayern Munich to become the first player to net 100 goals in the competition.

TITLE PARADE - 2017: Ronaldo celebrated as Madrid sealed a first La Liga title in five years -- and 33rd in total -- with a 2-0 victory at Malaga to bring a halt to Barcelona's domination of six of the previous eight titles.

600 UP - 2017: He then netted his 600th career goal from a remarkable 855 games to help Real Madrid to another Champions League trophy, beating Juventus in the final.

FIVE-STAR SUCCESS - 2017: At the end of the year, Ronaldo was honoured with his fifth Ballon d'Or award, levelling Barcelona rival Lionel Messi.

OVERHEAD MAESTRO - 2018: Arguably his most impressive goal came in the Champions League quarterfinal first leg against Juventus when he performed an acrobatic overhead kick to help Real Madrid to a 3-0 win.

EUROPEAN DOMINATION - 2018: And that led to his fourth Champions League title in five years (five in total for him), with three won back-to-back. An incredible feat in the modern era.

THE TOAST OF ITALY - 2018: Juventus found a novel way to stop him scoring against them in the Champions League: They signed him for €100m. The 33-year-old will now create plenty of new memories in Turin.
