Four-time defending champions Paris Saint-Germain are into the Coupe de la Ligue semi-finals after beating Amiens 2-0 at Stade de la Licorne.
The Ligue 1 leaders were not at their best but things were made easier for them when the hosts' goalkeeper, Regis Gurtner, was shown a straight red card for a first-half foul on Kylian Mbappe outside the box.
Unai Emery's men capitalised on their one-man advantage with Neymar's second-half penalty and Adrien Rabiot's header via video assistant referee (VAR) and will face Rennes away in the last four.
Positives
Despite the victory and qualification for the semi-final, there was not too much in PSG's performance to cheer about.
The French capital outfit won in 90 minutes and are now just one match away from the final but the display in Amiens left a lot to be desired.
Right-back Thomas Meunier summed the game up well after the final whistle when he said "mentally, we were not very professional today" -- it showed.
Negatives
PSG looked disinterested and considering that an under-strength Amiens side were down to 10 men from the 34th minute on, the final score really should have been greater.
There were no particularly poor individual showings but the collective attitude was awful and must be far more positive away at Nantes on Sunday.

6 -- Emery's starting XI with substitutions ultimately got the job done but the Spaniard was visibly frustrated with his players at times and righfully so.

GK Kevin Trapp, 6 -- The German shot-stopper was less of a spectator than he was in Rennes last weekend for the Coupe de France Round of 64 win and he will be happy that he came away with a clean sheet this time as he was reliable when called upon.
DF Thomas Meunier, 6 -- The Belgium international got forward when possible and put in some good crosses, particularly one dangerous one in the first half, but his enthusiasm was not reflected by his teammates -- much to his annoyance.
DF Marquinhos, 6 -- The Brazilian was solid but unspectacular in his first appearance of 2018 -- having been an unused substitute at Rennes last weekend -- and also hit the crossbar with a second half header.
DF Thiago Silva (c), 6 -- The skipper did not have to be at his commanding best to marshal the PSG backline to their first clean sheet of the new year.
DF Yuri Berchiche, 6 -- Like Meunier on the right, Berchiche got forward and tried to make things happen but bar a long-distance rocket that flew just wide, the Spaniard was unsuccessful.
MF Adrien Rabiot, 6 -- The France international made sure of the win with an Edinson Cavani-esque front-post header from an Angel Di Maria corner. Otherwise, he was part of an average midfield trio on the night.
MF Marco Verratti, 6 -- The Italian was perhaps the most deserving PSG player to score better than a six with a decent showing that was good in places but ultimately the Azzurri star was also guilty of the same lack of interest Meunier blasted the entire side for post-match.
MF Julian Draxler, 5 -- The Germany international fared reasonably well in central midfield but let himself down by picking up a booking early in the second half.
FW Angel Di Maria, 6 -- The Argentine struggled in patches but ultimately assisted Rabiot's goal and tested Gurtner's replacement Jean-Christophe Bouet with a second-half effort.
FW Kylian Mbappe, 6 -- The France international was not at his best through the middle and although he hit the crossbar and his pace and movement made him a constant threat to the Amiens defence, it was not enough to mark him out from the rest of his teammates.
FW Neymar, 6 -- The Brazilian superstar earned and scored his second-half penalty and celebrated by placing his Nike boot on top of his head like a performing seal but his display was hardly the best we have seen from him in PSG colours.
Substitutes
MF Giovani Lo Celso, 6 -- The Argentina international replaced Draxler for the final 22 minutes and slotted seamlessly into the midfield alongside Rabiot and Verratti until they were also withdrawn.
MF Dani Alves, NR -- The Brazilian stepped in and filled the void left by Rabiot in defensive midfield, like he did away at Dijon earlier in the season, for the final 10 minutes.
MF Christopher Nkunku, NR -- The youth academy graduate replaced Verratti in the 79th minute and still had enough time on the pitch to get himself booked.
