Borussia Dortmund's Marco Reus set to miss Bayern clash - Peter Stoger

Borussia Dortmund coach Peter Stoger has said he "wouldn't bet on" Marco Reus being back to face Bayern Munich later this month.

Germany international Reus, who returned from a knee injury in February, is currently sidelined with muscular problems suffered as Dortmund were knocked out of the Europa League at Salzburg.

He sat out the Bundesliga win over Hannover and could also remain sidelined when Dortmund travel to Munich on March 31.

"I wouldn't bet on it," BVB coach Peter Stoger said at an event organised by local paper Ruhr Nachrichten when asked whether Reus might be ready for the Bayern game.

"It was always clear that there'd be difficulties. Within a short period of time, he helped us a lot."

Dortmund have yet to reveal exactly what kind of injury Reus has suffered.

Meanwhile, BVB sporting director Michael Zorc has told kicker he is set to enter talks about extending his contract, which runs until next year.

"We will talk," the Bundesliga's longest-serving sporting director told kicker.

If Zorc -- in his 20th year as sporting director and 40th at Dortmund -- extends his deal, he would follow the example of CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke, who has signed until 2022.
