The transfer window for all of Europe's big five leagues is closed, but that doesn't stop Transfer Talk from rummaging around about who will be moving where come January.
City and Sterling in contract standoff
Manchester City have reached "deadlock" in contract talks with forward Raheem Sterling, according to the Guardian.
Next summer, England international Sterling will move into the final season of the five-year deal he signed when arriving at City from Liverpool in 2015.
And the Guardian says that "because it is thought there is no option for an extra 12 months, his value will markedly decrease unless an agreement can be reached before July."
It claims Sterling "wants to become one of City's best-paid players, with a rise to a basic wage of £220,000 a week at least, but there is some distance between the club and the 23-year-old regarding his worth and talks have stalled."
A failure to agree new terms would mean the possibility that Sterling, reported to be valued at around £60 million, could potentially move for much less than that.
Last month, it was reported that Real Madrid could move for Sterling -- who they were linked with during his Liverpool days and have reportedly monitored again this season -- next summer.
Bayern want Son to shine again in Bundesliga
Bayern Munich could make a winter move for Tottenham Hotspur attacker Son Heung-Min, who helped South Korea to victory in the Asian Games.
The Mirror, citing reports, says the Bundesliga champions are keen to bring in Son when the window reopens.
The South Korea star, who played for Spurs as a substitute in Saturday's home defeat to Liverpool, is exempt from his country's military service thanks to the Asian Games win -- and that makes a big-money move more likely.
Bayern are reported to have been interested in Son since he starred for their Bundesliga rivals Bayer Leverkusen.
Fulham's Bettinelli set for new contract
Fulham want goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli to sign a new deal and will offer one by the end of the month, according to the Mail.
Last month, reports said Bettinelli was considering his Craven Cottage future after being left out of the squad for the season's opening game at home to Crystal Palace.
But he has re-established himself as first choice and Fulham are now "desperate to persuade him to sign an extension to his contract, which expires at the end of next season."
Bettinelli was part of Gareth Southgate's England squad for the games against Spain and Switzerland, and the Mail says that will "strengthen his position in negotiating the best deal."
