The transfer window in all of Europe's big five leagues is now closed, but that doesn't stop Transfer Talk from rummaging through the remains of the summer window to scrounge up the earliest bit of gossip about who will be moving where come January.
Beckham to reunite Ronaldo, Rooney in Miami
He might have been at Juventus for only a month or two, but Cristiano Ronaldo's future has already become the subject of speculation.
The Mail and the Daily Star reckon that Juve's £100 million man has already been installed as a top transfer target for Inter Miami CF, otherwise known as David Beckham's new MLS franchise.
Co-owner Beckham unveiled his club's name and badge only Wednesday, but already he's reportedly drawing up plans to entice Ronaldo when the team begin competing in 2020. The Portuguese superstar would be 35 by that point, but his creeping age wouldn't even come close to putting Miami off breaking the league transfer record to acquire his services.
The Star adds that Beckham might also be considering an outlandish attempt to reunite Ronaldo with former Manchester United strike partner Wayne Rooney in Florida -- the pair having scored oodles of goals together at Old Trafford in their younger years.
Having made the jump to MLS with DC United earlier this season, Rooney might prove to be an altogether more realistic prospect when Miami are eventually up and running.
Barca still want Rabiot
The transfer window might be closed, but Barcelona are still beavering away in their attempt to lure Adrien Rabiot to the Camp Nou.
According to Marca, the Paris Saint-Germain midfielder is still a "priority signing" for the La Liga champions, who hope to add him to their squad by next year at the latest.
Despite considerable pressure, Rabiot is steadfastly refusing to renew his contract at PSG and is reportedly intent on leaving when it dwindles to nothing at the end of the 2018-19 season.
Barca are happy to wait until then but remain wary, especially after seeing Antoine Griezmann get one foot through the Camp Nou door last season only to U-turn and sign a new deal with Atletico Madrid at the 11th hour.
Vinicius could return to Brazil
Real Madrid could allow Vinicius Jr. to return to Brazil in January in a bid to find the prodigious teenager regular first-team football.
The 18-year-old striker has put in several impressive performances for Real's second string of late but is still unlikely to feature much in coach Julen Lopetegui's plans given the wealth of attacking talent already ahead of him in the pecking order.
Marca suggests that the £38m prodigy is caught in a "paradox" at the moment: too good for the Segunda Division B but not quite ready to muscle in ahead of the likes of Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale at senior level.
As such, Los Blancos are considering letting Vinicius rejoin former club Flamengo on loan when the winter market opens and then reassess the situation when he returns to the Bernabeu at the end of the season.
