Transfer Rater: Alex Sandro to Real Madrid, Lucas Hernandez to Manchester United

Things change in the blink of an eye in football. The Football Whispers Index takes the latest transfer rumours and gives them a score out of five; the higher the score, the more realistic and reliable the Whisper.

Here are today's top five emerging whispers. And keep an eye on Transfer Talk for all the latest gossip.

Alex Sandro to Real Madrid

Tuttosport believe a big swap deal is in the offing between Juventus and Real Madrid. Marcelo has been linked with a move to Juve, linking up with former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo, while Alex Sandro could go the other way. Sandro is said to be unsettled in Italy and would welcome the move.

Adrien Rabiot to AC Milan

Not a summer goes by without Rabiot being linked with a move away from the French capital. The Paris Saint-Germain youth product was linked with Barcelona, Arsenal and Liverpool in the summer, but Tuttosport say the midfielder could end up at Milan in January. Their new technical director Leonardo has a good relationship with PSG and with the 23-year-old out of contract in 2019 and new Champions League rules meaning players are no longer cup tied in the knockout stages, a move early in 2019 is not out of the question.

Rafinha to Inter Milan

Linked with a move to Real Betis during the summer transfer window, Rafinha is still eyeing an exit from Barcelona at the earliest opportunity, say Calciomercato. The 25-year-old made just one appearance for the Catalan side last season and would reportedly welcome a move back to the San Siro, having spent much of the 2017-18 campaign on loan at the Nerazzurri.

Lucas Hernandez to Manchester United

After helping France win the World Cup this summer, left-back Hernandez's stock has risen massively and France Football suggest Real Madrid were ready to meet Atletico's £76.6m release clause for the defender. They want him as back-up to Marcelo, but with the option of covering through the middle. Atletico Madrid will now look to tie the 22-year-old down to a new long-term deal, with Manchester United reportedly keen too.

Nicolas Pepe to Arsenal

Once Marcelo Bielsa was removed as coach of Lille, Pepe was able to find form playing back out on the wing, rather than as a centre-forward. Finishing the season with 13 goals and five assists led to interest from Lyon and L'Equipe report he was also linked with Arsenal. A bid of £31m was made for the 23-year-old, but he wanted to stay in northern France. That could change come January.
