Transfer Rater: Rodrigo to Real Madrid, Jerome Boateng to PSG

Things change in the blink of an eye in football. The Football Whispers Index takes the latest transfer rumours and gives them a score out of five; the higher the score, the more realistic and reliable the Whisper.

Here are today's top five emerging whispers. And keep an eye on Transfer Talk for all the latest gossip.

Jerome Boateng to Paris Saint-Germain

Boateng could still move to Paris before the Aug. 31 deadline after Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness admitted there is a 50 percent chance of a deal being struck. Paris Saint-Germain signed centre-back Thilo Kehrer, 21, from Schalke earlier this month for €37 million and had reportedly given up on former Manchester United target Boateng, due to his injury issues. But Hoeness told Sky Sports News: "Only Paris is an option, if they pay accordingly, then we will deal with it. If they do not, then he will stay with us and then everything is OK. I would say the odds are 50-50."

Rodrigo to Real Madrid

Julen Lopetegui wants to reinforce his attack at Real Madrid with Spain international Rodrigo his favoured target. According to AS, Madrid's failure to sign Bayern Munich's Robert Lewandowski or Edinson Cavani of Paris Saint-Germain means sights have shifted to Valencia forward Rodrigo, 27, who became a fixture of Spain squads under Lopetegui when he was national team coach. Rodrigo claimed Los Che's equaliser in their 1-1 draw with Atletico Madrid on Monday night and has a release of clause of €120m, which Madrid deem excessive.

Danny Welbeck to Galatasaray

Welbeck appears the odd man out among Unai Emery's attackers at Arsenal and, having fielded interest from a number of Premier League clubs, Galatasaray are the latest to make contact over his availability. Football.London reports previous approaches were rejected as they were loan offers. But if Galatasaray are prepared to pay for the England forward, meeting Arsenal's asking price, they have a chance of getting him. However, Welbeck has also made it known he is happy in North London and may reject a switch to Turkey.

Ivan Rakitic to Paris Saint-Germain

Rakitic remains a target for Paris Saint-Germain but the French champions will have to pay his €125m release clause if they want to sign the Croatia international. Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde views the midfielder as one of his key players and Marca state that the Catalan giants have no plans to negotiate with the French champions. That means the only way PSG can bring the World Cup finalist to the Parc des Princes is by matching the clause and forcing the La Liga winners' hand.

Paco Alcacer to Borussia Dortmund

Barcelona are searching for a new club for out-of-favour striker Alcacer, with Borussia Dortmund identified as a potential home given Lucien Favre's desire to bolster their attacking options. Alcacer, 24, isn't part of Valverde's first-team plans this season and, along with Real Betis and Alaves, Dortmund have declared an interest. However, Sport claim Alcacer's high wages mean any transfer is likely to be a loan deal rather than a permanent switch.
