Transfer Rater: Simon Mignolet to Napoli, Miralem Pjanic to Real Madrid

Things change in the blink of an eye in football. The Football Whispers Index takes the latest transfer rumours and gives them a score out of five; the higher the score, the more realistic and reliable the Whisper.

Here are today's top five emerging whispers. And keep an eye on Transfer Talk for all the latest gossip.

Simon Mignolet to Napoli

With the Belgian goalkeeper falling to third choice at Liverpool following the arrival of Alisson and Jurgen Klopp's enduring faith in Loris Karius, Mignolet's agent has been vocal about securing a transfer away from Anfield. Napoli have lost new €22m signing Alex Meret to a fractured forearm and, according to The Sun, manager Carlo Ancelotti will look to bring in Mignolet. Agent Nico Vaessen has confirmed talks are under way.

Alex Sandro to PSG

The French champions have long retained interest in the Brazilian left-back but for a second straight summer have failed in an attempt to bring him to Paris. PSG were unsuccessful with a €60m offer in 2017 and a return bid for Sandro in this window, believed to be lower, has also been rejected by the Bianconeri. Calciomercato.com speculate that PSG could make another offer but with the Italian transfer window closing on Friday, they will have to be quick.

Miralem Pjanic to Real Madrid

Madrid are aware that Luka Modric's minutes will need to be closely managed this season and coupled with the departure of Mateo Kovacic to Chelsea, Los Blancos are looking light in central midfield. As a result, according to diariogol.com, the European champions have made an offer of €60m for Pjanic. The Bosnian international is under contract until 2021 and remains a key player in Turin so if Madrid are serious pursuing the player, they may have to go higher.

Juan Mata to Valencia

Just like fellow countryman Ander Herrera, Mata is out of contract next summer and is considering a return to a former club. The Sun claim Mata has only held initial talks over a new deal at Old Trafford and if Valencia express interest, the 30-year-old will find any approach hard to turn down. Mata made 174 appearances for Valencia over four seasons before moving to the Premier League with Chelsea in 2011.

Adrien Rabiot to Juventus

The France midfielder's decision to turn down Paris Saint-Germain's latest contract offer has alerted a number of Europe's leading clubs. Rabiot only has a year left to run on his deal at the Parc des Princes and becomes a free agent next summer. Barcelona are an interested party but La Stampa reports that Juve may try and tempt PSG with a €20m offer before the Italian transfer window closes on Friday.
