Transfer Rater: Robert Lewandowski to Manchester United, Mohamed Salah to Real Madrid

Things change in the blink of an eye in football. The Football Whispers Index takes the latest transfer rumours and gives them a score out of five; the higher the score, the more realistic and reliable the whisper.

Here are today's top five emerging whispers. And keep an eye on Transfer Talk for all the latest gossip.

Jack Wilshere to Milan

After impressing against Milan last week, the Italian club are ready to make a bid for Wilshere, according to the Daily Express. The 26-year-old midfielder is out of contract at Arsenal in the summer and there is no sign of him putting pen to paper on a new deal at the Emirates. Milan aren't the only Serie A side interested in the England international, with Juventus and Sampdoria also reportedly keeping an eye on him. He is free to speak to foreign clubs as he has entered the last six months of his deal.

Robert Lewandowski to Manchester United

Lewandowski has strongly been linked with Real Madrid but Manchester United seem to have moved into the lead to sign the Bayern Munich striker. German magazine Kicker claims Jose Mourinho's side are the only club to have made a move for the Pole, who has 23 Bundesliga goals so far this season. The 29-year-old replaced long-term agent Cezary Kucharski with Pini Zahavi last month, leading to speculation he could be set for a summer move.

Jack Butland to Liverpool

Liverpool are confident of sealing a £40 million move for Stoke City goalkeeper Butland as they try to resolve their goalkeeping woes, according to the Daily Mirror. He is also believed to be an Arsenal target, but the England international is thought to favour a switch to Anfield as he is keen to work with Jurgen Klopp. Stoke are reportedly resigned to losing the 25-year-old.

N'Golo Kante to Paris Saint-Germain

Paris Saint-Germain are on the search for a replacement for Thiago Motta, 35. Telefoot claim they have identified Chelsea's Kante and Monaco's Fabinho as two players who could fill the Brazilian's role at the Parc des Princes. Whether the Frenchman would be willing to leave Stamford Bridge is unknown, but if Antonio Conte's side fail to qualify for the Champions League, they'll find it harder to keep hold of their top stars.

Mohamed Salah to Real Madrid

Real Madrid are considering Salah as a replacement up front for either Karim Benzema or Gareth Bale. The duo are likely to leave the Bernabeu in the summer, with the Egyptian one of four names linked to the Spanish capital by El Confidencial, alongside Harry Kane, Mauro Icardi and Lewandowski. Liverpool aren't keen on selling their top goalscorer, though. The Merseyside club wouldn't accept anything less than the £142m they got for Philippe Coutinho from Barcelona in January.
