Everton want Wenger to replace Allardyce if he parts ways with Arsenal

Clubs are slowly turning their eyes toward the summer window, and Transfer Talk has the updates on all the latest rumours.

Everton target Wenger

Arsene Wenger might appear to be on his way out at Arsenal, but he's still very much a wanted man in the Premier League, according to the Daily Star.

After the Gunners lost a fourth successive match -- this time a 2-1 defeat to Brighton on Sunday -- speculation continues to mount that the board will call time on Wenger's 22-year reign in the summer.

However, the Frenchman could be offered another opportunity in England in the shape of Everton, who plan to dismiss Sam Allardyce following a miserable run of their own.

Toffees owner Farhad Moshiri believes Wenger "is the ideal candidate to revive the Merseyside club's fortunes," says the Star's report.

Moshiri previously co-owned a 15 percent stake in Arsenal with Alisher Usmanov, and is expected to make his move in the summer.

Neymar staying at PSG

Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Antero Henrique has denied reports that Neymar could leave for Real Madrid at the end of the season.

The Brazilian completed a world-record €222 million move to the Parc des Princes last summer, but there have been constant rumours about his happiness and ambition to join Madrid ever since.

"Obviously he's going to stay with PSG next season," Henrique told L'Equipe. "His father said that two or three days ago: he's happy in Paris. His project is to stay here. He's here to play and score goals.

"The Spanish aren't like the French, they're against PSG. For them, we're now rivals. Spanish journalists have spoken to guys who say that Neymar isn't happy, good...have you asked Cristiano Ronaldo if he's happy at Real Madrid?"

Neymar is set to miss PSG's Champions League round of 16 second leg against Real Madrid after being sidelined with a broken foot that required surgery that took place on Saturday.

Arteta on the managerial merry-go-round

Wenger isn't the only managerial candidate interesting Everton, with the Toffees also set to scrap it out with Arsenal for Mikel Arteta.

The Daily Mirror says the current Manchester City coach is a leading target for the Premier League rivals, having represented both clubs during his playing career.

It's believed Wenger would support Arteta's appointment if it means he will remain at the Emirates Stadium in a consultancy role.

But Everton are also keen on the 35-year-old after watching Allardyce oversee a seventh defeat in 10 matches against Burnley at the weekend.

Tap-ins

- Willian has reiterated his commitment to Chelsea despite being linked with a move to Manchester United. The Brazilian told Globo that he is happy at Stamford Bridge and focused on bringing success to the Blues.

- Bayer Leverkusen defender Jonathan Tah is high on Tottenham's list of potential replacements for Toby Alderweireld should the Belgium international leave in the summer. The Daily Mirror claims Spurs have scouted Tah on several occasions as negotiations over Alderweireld's contract drag on.

- Manchester City are the latest club to express an interest in Ryan Sessegnon, according to The Sun. The 17-year-old Fulham winger is in the running for a shock England World Cup call-up after finding the net for the 14th time this season at the weekend.
