Guardiola keen on Barcelona reunion with Iniesta at Manchester City

Clubs are slowly turning their eyes toward the summer window, and Transfer Talk has the updates on all the latest rumours.

Guardiola eyes Iniesta reunion

Pep Guardiola is targeting a shock reunion with Andres Iniesta, according to the Mirror, with the Barcelona great set to be offered a Premier League swan song.

Despite entering the twilight of his career at 33 years of age, Iniesta has still proven decisive in big moments this season, with his assist for Lionel Messi against Chelsea a notable recent example.

But after Barca's recent acquisition of Philippe Coutinho for £142 million, a passing of the torch is already underway and Guardiola could take advantage of this by tempting him to help influence his Blues as they emerge as a dominant force in Europe.

Iniesta's "contract for life" that was signed last October is said to be non-binding, meaning an amicable exit to likely end a glittering career in England could be on.

United aim to win race for Sporting wonder kid

Manchester United are looking to fend off competition from Manchester City and Real Madrid to sign Sporting wonder kid Rafael Leao, reports the Mirror.

The 18-year-old has only recently broken into the Lisbon side's first team, scoring once in three league appearances. His goal in the 2-1 defeat to Porto this week was taken in by scouts from United, City, Chelsea, Tottenham, Arsenal and Liverpool.

The centre-forward could quickly emerge as Europe's hottest prospect, though Sporting will look to fend off any interest while he develops.

Baggies prepare for relegation fire sale

West Brom will look to sell a host of big names if they are relegated, writes the Sun, with the Baggies now eight points adrift at the bottom.

Jonny Evans, available for just £3m because of a relegation clause, will head the list of sales. But Ben Foster (to Southampton or Stoke), Craig Dawson (to Burnley, Everton or Crystal Palace) and Jay Rodriguez (potentially to the Potters, too) will all also be targets.

Tap-ins

- Arsenal are ready to sell Aaron Ramsey this summer to avoid losing the Welsh midfielder for nothing in 2019, according to the Mail. The Gunners want to avoid enduring a similar distraction next season after Alexis Sanchez's and Mesut Ozil's contract situations this term.

- David De Gea will be offered a stunning £350,000-a-week contract offer to commit his future to Manchester United, which would make the Spain No. 1 the highest-paid goalkeeper in the world. The report from the Star also claims United have plans to sell Sam Johnstone for £6m after triggering a clause to extend his deal by 12 months.

- In one of the most unexpected rumours this season, Notts County are lining up an audacious move for Diego Capel, claims the Sun. The Magpies want to make the former Sevilla and Sporting star the highest-paid player in League Two on £15,000 a week, plus another £5,000 for each game played, as the 30-year-old looks to find a club after being released by Anderlecht in August.

- Everton want to sign Jamie Vardy and will make the Leicester star their No. 1 target this summer, writes the Mirror. The 31-year-old is reportedly keen on the move and would receive a hefty pay rise to take his earnings up to £150,000 a week.
